Prof. Dartey-Baah of UGBS Delivers Insightful Inaugural Lecture on Leadership in Ghana
Prof. Samuel Kwasi Dartey-Baah, a distinguished scholar and Professor of Leadership and Organisational Development at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) delivered his inaugural lecture on 10th April 2025 at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana. The event drew an impressive audience comprising University management, academics, corporate executives, traditional leaders, clergy, students, and the general public.
GITFIC Engages UGBS to Adopt AFCFTA Curriculum
On 10th April 2025, the Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFIC) officially introduced and presented a copy of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA) Tertiary Curriculum to Prof. Justice Bawole, Dean, University of Ghana Business School. Prof. Justice Bawole warmly received the presentation on behalf of the University of Ghana. The presentation led by Prof. Roseline Kyeremanteng, Dean of Students, University of Ghana, and Champion of the GITFIC AFCFTA Tertiary Students Club, was to advance trade education and contribute to AFCFTA.
UGBS International Relations Office Hosts ABS EMBA Expedition to UGBS
The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) International Relations Office has hosted the Mohammed V1 Polytechnic (UM6P) Africa Business School (ABS) EMBA Expedition to UGBS from 17 to 20 February 2025. The programme was co-developed by UGBS and ABS. The programme, which took place at the Graduate School, was to broaden ABS EMBA students' understanding of business in the African context while enhancing their intercultural competencies in the global business environment.
UGBS Alumni Association Executives Pay Courtesy Visit to the Dean
On 26th March 2025, new executives of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Alumni Association visited the Dean, Prof. Justice Bawole, the meeting was held at the Dean’s office. The visit was to meet school management and discuss strategies for enhancing alumni engagement nationwide and ensuring sustained support for UGBS and its students.

Prof. Joshua Yindenaba Abor, a Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), has launched a new book titled Monetary Economics in Emerging and Developing Countries. The book, co-authored with Prof. Peter Quartey, Prof. Joseph G. Nellis, and Dr. Lakshmy Subramanian, provides a comprehensive analysis of monetary systems in emerging economies, bridging theoretical foundations with practical applications.
UGBS Alumnus COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno Appointed Inspector-General of Police
The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) proudly celebrates the appointment of its distinguished alumnus, Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno, as the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama announced his appointment on 13th March 2025, with an official swearing-in on Friday, 14th March 2025.
UGBS Professor of Finance, Godfred Bokpin Says Ghana Needs Long-term Macroeconomic Stability for Transformation
Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School, Prof. Godfred Bokpin, has emphasised the need for the country to maintain long-term macroeconomic stability to achieve sustainable economic transformation and inclusive growth. Prof. Bokpin made this statement at the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) Dialogue Series held in Accra on 18th March 2025 on the theme: "2025 National Budget Discourse: Implication for the Private Sector". This was published in the Daily Graphic on 20th March 2025.
