UGBS and CIHRM Launch Fundraising and Institutionalisation Activities for Ghana’s First HR Professorial Chair
The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management Ghana (CIHRM-G), officially launched fundraising and institutionalisation activities for the establishment of Ghana’s first-ever Professorial Chair in Human Resource Management on 13th May 2025. This historic event took place at the R.S Amegashie Auditorium of UGBS and brought together stakeholders from academia, industry, and the wider human resource (HR) fraternity.
UGBS to Partner with the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment and the British Council to Boost Youth Entrepreneurship
On 2nd May 2025, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) engaged with the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment and the British Council to discuss how universities can support the growth of young entrepreneurs for national development and explore potential collaboration. The meeting at the Dean’s office was part of ongoing efforts to get universities involved in nurturing young entrepreneurs.
UGBS Associate Professor, Patience A. Abor, Delivers Guest Lecture on Ghana’s Health System at Chester Business School, UK
Prof. Patience Aseweh Abor, an Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), delivered a guest lecture at Chester Business School, United Kingdom, in the first quarter of the year, 2025. The lecture was titled “An Overview of the Health System in Ghana” and was delivered to the October and February cohorts of the MSc. Health Service Management programme. It was organised as part of Prof. Abor’s ongoing sabbatical engagement with the University of Chester.
UGBS Alumni Pays Courtesy Visit to NITA Acting Director General, Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor
A delegation from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Alumni Association paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor, Acting Director General of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), on 30 April 2025. The purpose was to congratulate him on his appointment formally and extend the support of the alumni community. The visit, which took place at NITA’s head office, was led by Ms. Afia Benewaa Domfeh, Alumni Relations Officer at UGBS.
