Dr. Lord Mensah, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), calls on the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to alleviate consequences accompanied by the dissolution of 347 Microfinance companies in Ghana.

Speaking to Citi Business news on 6th June 2019, Dr. Mensah expressed that this action of BoG would have adverse effects on the informal sector of Ghana, since they are the main beneficiaries of these Microfinance institutions, if not mitigated.

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) on Monday 3rd June, 2019 held an orientation session for its newly admitted sandwich students, at the R.S Amegashie Auditorium, University of Ghana.

The orientation was organised to welcome students, give them an overview of the School, and to also make them aware of what to expect as they begin their studies.  Dr. Mrs. Patience Abor, a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Public Administration & Health Services Management served as the MC for the event.

At the recently held 20th Academy of African Business and Development (AABD) conference, formerly IAABD, some faculty of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) were elected as executives of the Academy.

The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship of the University of Ghana Business School held its first Distinguished Marketing Practitioner Seminar (DMPS) on the theme ‘Storytelling and Brand Building’ with Mr. Bharat Avalani on 22nd May 2019 at the Executive Hall.

The Executive Development Unit of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) continues to build and sharpen the skills of human capital through their numerous short training programmes. In this vein, the Unit from the 6th March to 13th April 2019 organised two different sets of training programmes namely: Investigative journalism and Forensic Auditing as well as Creation and Administering Fixed Asset Register.
