UGBS Quiz Team Wins Tertiary Business Sense Challenge 2024

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) quiz team has won the final of this year’s Graphic Tertiary Business Sense Challenge, which took place at GNAT Hall, Accra on Tuesday, 21st October 2024. The team consisting of Mr. Peter Ameka Ike, Mr. Prince Ascord Bordoh, Mr. Edwin Entsiey, and Mr. Jonathan Sowah demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills in the finale. This makes UGBS the first school in the Greater Accra Region to win the Business Sense Challenge. 

UGBS Professor of Marketing, Mahmoud Abdulai Mahmoud, Engages Students of Dabokpaa Technical Institute for Academic and Career Guidance

On 11th October 2024, Prof. Mahmoud Abdulai Mahmoud, a Professor of Marketing at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), engaged students from Dabokpaa Technical Institute, Tamale, during a visit to the University of Ghana Campus. 

UGBS International Relations Office Hosts GNAM Week

The International Relations Office of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) recently hosted another edition of the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) week to foster global connection and knowledge sharing among business professionals and students. The event was held at the UGBS, Graduate Campus bringing together participants from Oxford University, Lagos Business School, Yale University, and UGBS.

UGBS and the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners, Ghana (ICHRMP-GHANA) Launches a Memorandum of Understanding

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners, Ghana (ICHRMP-GHANA) have launched a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 17th October 2024. The MoU was signed with the Department of Organisation & Human Resource Management (OHRM) to promote professional development for Human Resource Management students at UGBS. The launch event, themed "Promoting Human Resource Management through Excellent Strategic Collaboration," took place at the ISSER Conference Centre and was moderated by Prof.

KPMG Ghana Visits UGBS to Explore Collaboration on International Accounting Day

On Thursday, 17th October 2024, KPMG Ghana paid a courtesy visit to the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) to discuss potential collaborations. The meeting was held at the UGBS Dean’s Office and centred around involving UGBS students in the upcoming International Accounting Day celebration. 

UGBS’ Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship Holds AI Workshop for Faculty Members

The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) organised a capacity-building workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for faculty members on 16th October 2024. The workshop, held at the Executive Hall, aimed to empower faculty members to embrace and identify AI in their research and teaching. 

University Council Approves Two UGBS Faculty Promotions

The University Council, at its meeting held on 26th September 2024 has approved the promotions of two faculty members at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). 

UGBS Hosts High Commission of Malaysia Delegation to Explore Collaborative Opportunities

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) hosted a delegation from the High Commission of Malaysia to Ghana on 30th September 2024. The delegation comprised Mr. Syed Nauzer Idid- Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Raja Afi Amierul Aiman- Third Secretary. The discussions focused on exploring potential collaborations between UGBS and Malaysian institutions, particularly student and faculty exchanges, research development, and operational support. 

Tomas Bata University Visits UGBS for Potential Collaborations

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) hosted a delegation from Tomas Bata University, Czech Republic, on 10th October 2024 at the UGBS Conference Room for potential collaborations. The delegation from Tomas Bata University was Dr. Ing. Michal Pilik, Dean of the Department of Finance and Accounting, Ing. Premysl Palka, Vice Dean for International Relations, Department of Finance and Accounting, Prof. Alex Ntsiful, Department of Management and Marketing and Prof. Michael Adu Kwarteng, Department of Management and Marketing. 

ANAN University Business School Visits UGBS for a Benchmarking Exercise

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) recently hosted a delegation from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) University Business School, Nigeria, for a benchmarking exercise. The ANAN Business School (ABS) delegation comprised Dr. Abdullahi Ya’u Usman, Executive Director for ABS, and Dr. Stephine Sende Ngumimi, Director of Academic Affairs & Administration at ABS. The programme was coordinated by the UGBS International Relations Office.
