UGBS Department of Accounting Hosts a 2-Day Qualitative Research Seminar

The Department of Accounting at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) organised a 2-day qualitative research seminar to equip researchers with knowledge on publishing in high-impact journals. The seminar was held at the UGBS Graduate Campus from 10th to 11th October 2024 and was open to all interested participants, with a focus on MPhil, MBA, PhD, and other postgraduate accounting students. Prof. Christine Gilbert from Université Laval, Quebec, Canada, was the Guest Educator for the seminar.

Accra Technical University Explores Collaborative Opportunities with University of Ghana Business School

On Friday, 4th October 2024, the Accra Technical University (ATU) paid a courtesy visit to the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) to explore potential collaboration opportunities, particularly in graduate studies management.  The meeting was held at the UGBS Dean’s Office with the ATU delegation: Prof. Frank Frimpong Opuni, Dean of Graduate School and Associate Professor in Social Marketing, and Ms. Martha Boraparte, Senior Administrative Assistant of Graduate School. 

UGBS Quiz Team Qualifies for Tertiary Business Sense Challenge Final

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) quiz team has qualified for the final of this year’s Graphic Business Tertiary Business Sense Challenge, which is expected to take place at TV3 Studios on Saturday, 19 October 2024. The team consisting of Mr. Prince Ascod Bordoh, Mr. Peter Ameka Ike, Mr. Edwin Entsiey, and Mr. Jonathan Sowah demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills in the semifinals.

KPMG Ghana Names UGBS Alumnus, Gordon Dardey as Partner

Mr. Gordon Dardey, an alumnus of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has been admitted as a Partner at KPMG (Klynveld, Peat, Marwick, Goerdeler) Ghana, effective 1 October 2024. Mr. Dardey holds a BSc in Administration, Banking and Finance with First Class Honors from the University of Ghana Business School.

KPMG Ghana Appoints UGBS Alumna, Caroline Anokye as Partner

Mrs. Caroline Anokye, an alumna of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has been admitted as a Partner at KPMG in Ghana, effective 1st October 2024. Caroline graduated from UGBS with a First-Class Honours degree in BSc Administration, Banking and Finance and has built an impressive career in Audit and Assurance since joining KPMG in 2008.

University of Ghana FA Association and HRODD Hold a Personal Financial Management Webinar for the 2023/2024 NSS Personnel

The University of Ghana’s Financial Awareness (FA) Association, in partnership with the Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate (HRODD), organised a webinar on personal financial management for the 2023/2024 National Service Scheme (NSS) personnel on the 19th of September 2024. The webinar was titled "Navigating Your Working Life: Essential Financial Knowledge for Young Adults." It aimed to equip participants with crucial financial literacy skills and job search strategies.

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) held its annual faculty retreat from September 25th to 29th, 2024, at the Peninsula Resort & Golf Club in Akosombo. The retreat featured a blend of educational and recreational activities, offering faculty members a chance to reflect, relax, and plan for the upcoming academic year.
