On Friday, 12th May 2023, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) received a courtesy visit from some executive members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Ghana. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the progress and impact of their partnership with key stakeholders, assess their achievements, address challenges, and explore the prospects of their collaboration.
Miss Princess Korkor Boateng, an eighteen (18) year old level 400 BSc. Administration student at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has emerged as the youngest student to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in the history of Ghana. She enrolled in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana (ICAG), the body recognised for overseeing Professional Accountancy in Ghana, as a student in 2019 when she was at level 100 and completed it in April 2023.
A total of 1505 students at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ghana (UG). These graduands were part of the over 11,000 students who graduated from UG at the recently held congregation ceremony for the College of Humanities at the Great Hall. The ceremony was part of the 13 sessions of congregation events which were held for five days.
