The International Improving Financial Awareness & Literacy Association, University of Ghana Chapter (The FA Association), held its 2023 Business Skills Transfer Edition under its Financial Awareness Literacy Campaign on February 24, 2023. The event was held at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Graduate Building and was on the theme "Equipping the Youth with the Right Financial Capability for Right Personal Financial Decisions Tomorrow."

The book titled “The Economics of Banking and Finance in Africa: Development in Africa’s Financial Systems,” was published by Palgrave Macmillan (Springer Nature) and co-edited by the two eminent Professors of Finance.

The one-year Research Fellowship awarded by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) provides Professor Abor the opportunity to undertake relevant research and contribute to the Bank’s intellectual leadership in fulfillment of its mandate. He will spend the year visiting and working with the Research & International Co-operation (RICO) Department of the Bank.

Allianz has appointed Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor as Board Chairman of Allianz Life Insurance Company Ghana. His appointment as an Independent Non-Executive Director was approved by the National Insurance Commission in August 2022. As a director, he has a tenure of 5 years, but his role as board chair has no expiration. He takes over from Mr. Kofi Ampim, who passed away in January 2021.
