The Department of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) held a guest lecture online on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 on the theme: “Sustainability and Responsible Investment." The Guest Lecturer was Ms. Adiki Ofeibea Ayitevie, Vice President, Sustainability & External Relations- Newmont Africa.
Professor Justice N. Bawole, Dean of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), recently contributed to the conversation on the need for relevant skills to prepare students for industry. This occurred at the graduation ceremony of the second cohort of the “Excel our Girls” programme, organised by Think3ice and Finex Skills Hub, two institutions that focus on providing hands-on training for people on relevant technological skills.
In an effort to incorporate ideas from stakeholders in the insurance and pension field in its upcoming Master’s in Insurance and Pensions programme, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) organised a workshop at the Best Western Premier Hotel. The workshop, which was organised on Wednesday, 7th September 2022 had in attendance faculty and staff from the Business School, as well as several stakeholders from the Insurance and Pensions industry. The event was aimed at discussing the content and curriculum of the programme. Dr.
Allianz has appointed Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor as Board Chairman of Allianz Life Insurance Company Ghana. His appointment as an Independent Non-Executive Director was approved by the National Insurance Commission in August 2022. As a director, he has a tenure of 5 years, but his role as board chair has no expiration. He takes over from Mr. Kofi Ampim, who passed away in January 2021.
On Friday, 19th August 2022, the Academic Affairs Unit of the University of Ghana Business School organised a workshop to discuss the 2022 -2023 academic year admissions process. The workshop which aimed at discussing issues related to the entire application and admission process was held at the Graduate Building.
