BSc Administration - Accounting
This is a 4-year undergraduate programme in Accounting. In the first two years of study, students are required to take courses such as students are required to take courses such as Language Skills, Critical Thinking, Introduction to Business Administration and Introduction to Public Administration. In the third and final years, however, students take courses such as Auditing, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Corporate Reporting, Public Sector Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems.

Emmanuel Sarpong-Kumankoma
Prof. Sarpong-Kumankoma holds PhD (Finance), MBA (Finance) Thesis Option, and B.Sc. (Admin.) Accounting Option degrees from the University of Ghana Business School. He joined the Department of Finance as a Lecturer in 2006 and is currently their Head of Department (HOD). Prior to this he worked at the Finance Department of the Volta River Authority for several years. Since joining UGBS, he has taught various graduate and undergraduate courses in banking and finance.

Emerald Edem S. Welbeck
Edem E. Sabah Welbeck is a Lecturer with the Department of Accounting, University of Ghana Business School. She holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Open Universiteit, Netherlands, an MPhil in Accounting, and a BSc. in Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana. She had her secondary school education at OLA and Mawuli School, Ho.

30 UGBS Students receive Scholarships from the Maiden Axis Pensions Young Scholars Fellowship Awards.
Thirty students of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) have been awarded a scholarship worth GH¢200,000 by the Axis Pensions Young Scholars Fellowship Awards Scheme. The beneficiaries are expected to receive a little over GH¢6,600 each, every academic year to cater for tuition, accommodation fees and semester stipend.
Cornell University Explores Potential Collaborations at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS)
A delegation from Cornell University has visited the University of Ghana Business School to discuss a potential project to be funded by the Master Card Foundation and its mutual benefits for both universities. The delegation composed of Barbara (BJ) Hoerner, Director, University Foundation Relations & Corporate Philanthropy and Kim Szpiro, Associate Director, Hanga Ahazaza Initiative, Office of External Relations and Engagement, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business was received by the Dean of the Business School, Prof. Justice Bawole.
Donation to the Demonstration School for the Deaf, Mampong (Basic School Division)
As part of the already held 43rd Management Week Celebration, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) donated a sum of five thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 5000) along with some home essential items to support the running of the Demonstration School for the Deaf at Mampong- Akuapem in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
