Speaking at the event, Mr. Yeboah stated that UGBS had digitalised its classrooms with digital boards and therefore no longer had use for the whiteboards. He explained that Prof. Tweneboah-Koduah considered it more meaningful to donate the whiteboards to basic schools rather than discard them. He further noted that the donation exercise aligns with one of the strategic pillars of the University of Ghana, which is Partnership and Engagement. Ms. Mercy Koomson, a teacher at Sackey Odoi Basic School, delivered the vote of thanks and expressed her profound gratitude for the thoughtful donation. She also highlighted some challenges facing the cluster, including inadequate computers in the ICT laboratory to facilitate effective learning, the absence of a science laboratory to support science education, and challenges with their washroom facilities, which have remained closed for about a year. She appealed to the management of UGBS to consider supporting the school in addressing some of these challenges. Mr. Nicholas Asare, Head Teacher of Nii Okine Basic School, also expressed his appreciation to the Dean and indicated that the school looked forward to more engagements of this nature.

The final donation exercise took place at the University Staff Basic School, where Prof. Tweneboah-Koduah personally presented the whiteboards. The Head Teacher of the University Staff Basic School expressed appreciation to the Dean, noting that the school needed whiteboards and that the donation would reduce the cost of purchasing new ones. The event concluded with brief remarks from Prof. Tweneboah-Koduah, who stated that the donation initiative was particularly dear to him and that he was pleased to support teaching and learning through the donation of the whiteboards.
