UGBS Students Shine At VC’s Annual Academic Awards Night

    20 students of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements during the Vice-Chancellor’s ceremony in honour of academic award winners for the 2013/2014 academic year held at the University of Ghana’s Great Hall last Friday.
    The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ernest Aryeetey, in his opening remarks, said the function, a follow up to two congregation ceremonies that had been held earlier, had created yet another forum for the best graduating students to be recognized for their achievements.

    UGBS Trains Staff on Team Building and Conflict Management

    The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), on Friday, February 6, 2015, organized a training on Team Building and Conflict Management for its faculty and non- Academic Staff at its F5 Lecture Hall.
    The training, facilitated by Dr. Kwasi Dartey-Baah and Dr. Kwesi Amponsah-Tawiah, both of the Department of Organization and Human Resource Management (OHRM), had in attendance faculty and  non-academic staff of the various departments of UGBS, members of the technical and cleaning as well as the security team.

    Marketing PhD Student Wins Best Paper Award

    A final year PhD Student at the Marketing and Customer Management Department of the University of Ghana Business School, Thomas Anning Dorson has won the best paper award at the 2015 Annual Conference of The Emerging Markets Conference Board organized in association with the Academy of Indian Marketing (AIM), European Marketing Academy, Academy of Marketing Science and the American Marketing Association (AMA).

    UGBS Alumnus Lands Top Job

    A University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) alumnus, Ms. Carol Annang, has been appointed as the Managing Director of New Times Corporation, owners of the Ghanaian Times, a daily newspaper in circulation since 1958.
    As Managing Director, Ms. Annang will be responsible for providing leadership on the management of New Times Corporation’s vast media assets in newspaper publishing, printing and film-making amongst other media-based business activities.

    UGBS Alumnus Is President of AAG

    Distinguished University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) alumnus, Mr. Joel Edmund Nettey, has been elected President of the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG). Mr. Nettey holds a Master in Business Administration (Marketing) degree.
    At his election as the AAG’s youngest president ever, Mr. Nettey, a Trustee of the Unilever Ghana Foundation and Board Chair of the Road Safety Management Services Ltd, in his acceptance speech, pledged his unflinching commitment to the AAG’s cause and resolved to ensure the effectiveness of the Association.
