Nana Nimo Appiah-Agyekum

Dr. Appiah-Agyekum holds a PhD from Leeds Beckett University (UK), a PGDip in Healthcare Law from the University of Salford (UK), and an MPhil and Bsc from the Business School in the University of Ghana. Aside serving as a course advisor, Nana Nimo is also a tutor of Commonwealth Hall and the departmental coordinator of the Corporate Executive in Residence Programme (CERP).

Based on his prior work as a student advisor to the HEA of UK, Nana Nimo strongly advocates for greater student involvement, innovativeness and responsibility for learning and research. Consequently, his teaching philosophy is built around greater involvement of students as partners in learning with higher levels of responsibility that breaches the stereotypical superior-subordinate relationships between students and lecturers. This empowers students to confidently act as stakeholders in their courses, and active group leaders and members within class and also boost their confidence to meet challenges in real-life outside the classroom.
