Mr. Eric Dziedzom Akukumah, an alumnus of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and CEO of EDA Logistics Limited, has been honoured as Ghana’s Most Outstanding CEO in Logistics Services at the 2024 Ghana CEO Awards. The event, organised by Globe Productions, marked its third edition and was held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra under the theme “CEOs for Climate: Steering towards a Greener Future.” The awards celebrated visionary leaders who are driving positive change in Ghana.
UGBS Marcomms holds Capacity Building training for Accra Technical University (ATU) Public Affairs Directorates.
The UGBS Marketing and Communications (Marcomms) team led by the Coordinator, Prof. Kobby Mensah, on Wednesday 24 th July 2024 held a capacity-building training for the staff of the Public Affairs Directorate of Accra Technical University (ATU). The training was on how to boost the brand equity of Accra Technical University using social media platforms. The training took place in the boardroom of ATU and focused on addressing key issues, trends and strategies in the deployment of the necessary tools and platforms for brand building.
UGBS Researchers Secure EU Erasmus+ Grant for Transformative AI-Powered Education Project
The University of Ghana, in collaboration with Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia), International University of Management (Namibia), and University of Education (Winneba, Ghana), has secured a 3-year EU Erasmus+ grant for a project titled: "Improving Teachers and Students Professional Development with Twin Transition in Sub-Saharan Africa (TeProD)." This project, valued at €800,000, aims to improve teachers' and students' professional development with a focus on twin transitions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC Appoints UGBS Professor of Finance as Independent Non-Executive Director
Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has announced the appointment of three Independent Non-Executive Directors, including Prof. Vera Ogeh Fiador, a distinguished Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). Prof. Fiador's appointment took effect on 31st May, following approval from the Bank of Ghana. Alongside her, Mr. Jonathan Prince Cann and Mr. Joseph Yaw Asumang joined the Board on 24th June 2024.

University Council Approves Appointments and Promotions of Two UGBS Faculty Members
The University of Ghana (UG) Council has approved the appointment and promotion of two faculty members of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) effective February 1, 2023. The appointments were approved at the University Council's meeting on July 11, 2024.
Prof. Elikplimi Komla Agbloyor has been appointed a full Professor (Finance and Risk Management) in the Department of Finance. At the same time, Dr. Francis Aboagye-Otchere has been promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting.
