University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Student Wins KPMG Internal Audit Competition
A first-year student at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), Sylvana Teiman, has won the 2024 KPMG Internal Audit Awareness Month Student Article Writing Competition. Her essay, selected from over 40 university submissions, impressed the judges, demonstrating innovative thinking in internal audit.
The competition, which was opened to tertiary students nationwide, tasked participants to address the topic "The Future of Internal Audit: Embracing Innovation and Disruption." Ms. Teiman was also awarded, an internship slot at KPMG Ghana's Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services Unit.
Expressing her profound appreciation she said, “I appreciate the opportunity to have emerged as the winner of this prestigious competition, and I am thrilled to have been awarded an internship at KPMG Ghana's Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services Unit.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to my lecturers and colleagues at UGBS for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my academic journey.” She also highlighted her extracurricular activities, including her involvement in peer education, financial literacy advocacy, and social entrepreneurship.
As a member of the Young Investors Network and Enactus-Legon, Ms. Teiman served as a panelist during the capital market quiz on World Investors Day. The University of Ghana Business School congratulates Ms. Sylvana Teiman on her achievement and wishes her success in her future endeavours.
