UGBS Alumna of the Month: March
Mrs. Abigail Ananie, a distinguished alumna of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), has made significant strides in the fields of International Trade, Logistics, and Sales and Marketing. With over a decade of experience in top management, Mrs. Ananie has demonstrated exceptional team management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Mrs. Ananie’s career has spanned across various industries, including manufacturing (Magvlyn Industries- producers of Mobile Water, where she was the Assistant Sales Manager) and logistics (Stellar Express - licensee for TNT Express Worldwide as the Key Accounts Manager). She has also held senior management positions at IAS Ghana Limited, (licensee of Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), where she was the Assistant General Manager in charge of Sales, Marketing and Freight/Customs Clearance Departments).
Currently, she is the founder and CEO of 3Seas Logistics and Consultancy Ltd where she oversees the overall strategy, direction and operations of the company. She serves as a contracted Private Consultant to Goldfields Ghana Limited, responsible for administering their Development Agreement with the Government of Ghana.
As a UGBS alumna, Mrs. Ananie holds an MBA in Marketing (2011) and a Master of Science in International Business (2019) from the University of Ghana. She is an awardee of a grant from the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Ghana which enabled her to undertake a study tour at the University of Aalborg in Denmark as part of her Master of Science in International Business programme. She also holds an MA in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Ghana School of Law (2023).
She attributes her success to her firm foundation from her undergraduate studies in Political Science with Philosophy (2006) from the University of Ghana. She also has a proficiency license from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA)-Customs Division.
Her expertise includes Sales and Marketing, Customs Clearance, Freight Forwarding and Logistics as well as Trade Compliance. She also develops policies, ensures quality assurance, and manages import and export declarations at the various ports in Ghana. She is known for her exceptional work ethic, customer service management, operations oversight and team leadership skills.
Mrs. Ananie’s passion for facilitating global trade and bridging the gap between businesses and the complex world of customs and logistics has driven her success. She stays current with changing regulations and industry trends, offering innovative solutions to clients.
