The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) honours Mr. Anthony Sarpong, a distinguished alumnus and Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, for his unwavering support and significant contributions to the school and its Alumni Association. Mr. Sarpong has contributed immensely to academia, serving on the Advisory Board of the University of Ghana Business School and acting as an ambassador for its Alumni Association. His dedication to fostering excellence and mentoring future business leaders is highly commendable. 

Mr. Sarpong is a seasoned financial expert with over 22 years of experience and has made a remarkable impact across Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa. As a Senior Partner at KPMG Ghana, he was pivotal in steering the firm’s strategic initiatives, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise in the financial sector.

His professional credentials are equally impressive, with memberships in prestigious institutions such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA). Academically, Mr. Sarpong holds an MSc in Financial Risk Management from London Metropolitan University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Manchester, and a First-Class Honours degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana.
