The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) is proud to spotlight Ms. Fati Osman Mohammed as its Alumna of the Month for October 2024. Ms. Fati is an experienced banking professional with over a decade of expertise in client management, cash management, and trade financing solutions. She currently serves as a Client Manager in Client Management (Corporate and Investment Banking) at Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC, a role she assumed in December 2023.
UGBS Marcomms Unit Trains MESA PR Team on Digital Marketing
On 14th November 2024, the Marketing and Communications Unit (Marcomms) of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) conducted a digital marketing training session for the Public Relations team of the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Students Association (MESA). The training which happened at the ICT lab equipped the team with digital marketing skills to enhance their online presence.
UGBS OMIS Department Holds Orientation for Business Analytics Students
The Department of Operations and Management Information System (OMIS) of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) on 15th November 2024 held an orientation at R.S Amegashie Hall for the first cohort of BSc. Administration students specialising in Business Analytics. This was to familiarise students with the programme curriculum and opportunities.
MBA Business Intelligence and Analytics
The MBA Business Intelligence and Analytics is aimed at training students and professionals to attain practical skills in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics of big data to provide businesses and organizations with timely data-driven solutions to achieve higher productivity and efficiency in their operations. Students will be well versed in several machine learning techniques for data analysis, prediction, and decision-making that will enhance their employability skills.
UGBS Department of Accounting Hosts Seminar on Generative AI and Financial Reporting
The Department of Accounting at the University of Ghana Business School on 5th November 2024 organised a seminar on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Financial Reporting Processes to equip students with the knowledge to embrace AI in accounting practices. The seminar was held at R.S. Amegashie Hall, bringing together Level 300 and 400 students and Master’s and PhD students studying accounting.

Kobby Mensah Proposes Brand Journalism to Sandvik Mining and Construction Ghana Limited as a New Paradigm to Marketing Communications
University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Associate Professor of Marketing, Kobby Mensah, recently led a training session on brand journalism, a new framework for marketing communication (Marcomms). The training was organised for the management of Sandvik Mining and Construction Ghana Limited (Sales Area West Africa) as part of their strategic development. It was aimed at reshaping Sandvik’s new marcomms strategy.
