University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has received a donation of digital equipment from its 1985-year group (Platinum ’85) as part of efforts to enhance teaching and learning through technology. Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Dean expressed appreciation to the alumni group for the thoughtful gesture. He remarked that he was pleasantly surprised by the donation, noting that he did not expect such support from the 1985-year group. “They are retired, and the school should rather be supporting them,” he said, commending their continued commitment to the growth of UGBS. He further acknowledged the broader contributions of the Alumni Association to the development of the school, emphasising that alumni support remains instrumental to infrastructure and academic advancement.

He expressed appreciation for the TCL brand and indicated that the new screens would significantly enhance classroom delivery. According to him, some classrooms will henceforth be equipped with two screens, a development he described as essential for effective teaching and improved student engagement. The Alumni Association has previously supported the school through the renovation of the BHJCR offices, the provision of smart boards, and several other projects, some of which are yet to be commissioned.

Members of the alumni group present for the presentation were Air Vice Marshal Issifa Kadri (Rtd), Mr. Peter Opoku-Mensah, Mr. Yaw Brobbey-Mpiani, Mr. Isaac Akesseh, Madam Vivian Afa, Mr. Kofi Saah Addison and Mr. Franklin Owusu Asafo Adjei.
