UGBS Hosts University of Essex Delegation to Explore Collaborative Opportunities

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) received a delegation from the University of Essex to explore potential areas of collaboration on 27th February 2026. The delegation was received by the Dean of UGBS- Prof. Ernest Yaw Tweneboah-Koduah, Head of the Department of Public Administration- Prof. Albert Ahenkan, Director of Safety and Security Services Directorate (SSSD, UG)- Dr. Isaac Amoabeng and UGBS Administrator- Mr. Emmanuel Poku-Sarkodee. The delegation comprised Dr. Jacob Agyemang and Dr. Erik Jacobi from Essex Business School, England.

The meeting focused on identifying mutually beneficial partnership opportunities, particularly in the areas of joint curriculum development, the development of local case studies, and the decolonisation of the Essex academic curriculum. Discussions also explored avenues for strengthening industry engagement and enhancing research collaboration between faculty of both institutions. According to the Dean of UGBS, the prospective collaboration aligns with the school’s strategic vision of advancing international partnerships that enrich academic programmes, strengthen research capacity and industry engagement.

Further discussions are expected to solidify plans and outline concrete steps toward formalising the partnership.
