UGBS Class of 1973 Reunites with Former Lecturer on Campus
The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) welcomed back its Accounting Class of 1973 on 12th March 2025. The alumni gathered on campus to reconnect with their former lecturer, Prof. George Atiase, who recently returned to Ghana.
The reunion was marked by a warm reception by the Dean of UGBS, Prof. Justice Bawole. He provided an update on the school’s progress and highlighted its growing reputation, impact, and expansion, including additional campuses, new course combinations, and the seven academic departments.

During the visit, the alumni inquired about the surveillance systems they had donated two years ago as part of their 50th-anniversary celebrations since graduating from the Business School. They embarked on a tour of the school and revisited familiar spaces before settling in a lecture hall for a nostalgic session with Prof. Atiase. The alumni reminisced about their student days, exchanged fond memories, and reflected on the advice that had shaped their careers.
The gathering concluded with a lunch, where former classmates continued to reconnect and celebrate their enduring bond.
