Children of the Late J.B Appiah-Pippim Donates to UGBS.

The children of the late J.B. Appiah-Pippim, a former Lecturer of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) have donated a 55-yard curtain material, four (4) ceiling fans and four (4) wall fans to UGBS. The children had earlier on painted and changed the commemorative plaque in front of the lecture hall which had been named in honour of their late father.

According to Ms. Saratu Salifu, Assistant Registrar, General Administration, the children of late J. B. Appiah-Pippim had earlier informed the Dean of UGBS, Prof. Justice Bawole of their intent to refurnish the J. B. Appiah-Pippim lecture hall. Following the Dean’s approval, the renovation commenced. Visiting the school on December 6, 2023, the children officially presented the ceiling and wall fans together with the curtain materials to help equip the hall. They further expressed their continuous commitment towards the maintenance of the J.B. Appiah-Pippim Lecture Hall.
The Acting Dean of UGBS and Head of the Department (HoD) of Accounting, Prof. William Coffie conveyed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the school, emphasising that such acts of kindness and community spirit will serve as inspiring examples for others to emulate. He noted the significance of the fans in improving ventilation within the lecture hall, especially given its tendency to be warm and added that both students and lecturers would have a conducive teaching and learning environment.

The meeting also had in attendance Prof. Gordon Abekah-Nkrumah, HoD of Health Services Management, Mr. Emmanuel Poku-Sarkodee, the School Administrator and Mr. Yaw Tsen Yeboah, the Assistant Registrar, Human Resources
