UGBS PhD graduate wins the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation for the College of Humanities at the Vice-Chancellor’s Ceremony in Honour of Academic Award Winners, 2022/2023 Academic Year
Dr. Albert Kwaw Eliason, a PhD graduate from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), has emerged winner of the outstanding doctoral dissertation for the College of Humanities. This award was conferred on him during the recent Vice-Chancellor’s Ceremony in honour of Academic Award Winners for the 2022/2023 Academic Year held at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana.
As a PhD candidate in Public Administration and Policy Management at UGBS, Dr. Eliason's thesis, "A Study in Policy Marketing and Policy Acceptance Linkage(s): Evidence from Ghana’s Luxury Vehicle Tax and Free Senior High School Policies" was supervised by Prof. Emmanual Kojo Sakyi, Department of Public Administration, Prof. Albert Kobby Mensah, Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. James Kwame Mensah, Department of Public Administration.
During the ceremony, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, the Vice-Chancellor at the University of Ghana noted that the scheme seeks to recognise and award students who worked hard and excelled in their various fields, winning awards during the 2022/2023 congregations. She added that they deserve commendation for their efforts because they encourage other students to learn and achieve better results. Also, their achievements are not just for personal advancement but have enriched the school's existence. She further appreciated the sponsors and encouraged other individuals and institutions to sponsor such a worthy course.
Other graduates recognised from UGBS include Mr. Derick Ayiku Wanormetah, Ms. Ann Dillys Amenu, Mr. Paul Sabogu, Ms. Gifty Dedaah Kumah, Mr. Micheal Agyenim Boateng, Ms. Celine Iyami Disu Rahma, Ms. Nana Pokua Boakye, Mr. Nana Yaw Nyantakyi, Ms. Wilhemina Agyare-Ntow, Ms. Bridgette Benewaa Baah, Ms. Berlinda Ayorkor Anang, Mr. Mark Kweku Etsibah, Mr. Samuel Frimpong Korsah, Ms. Estella Abokoma Darko, Ms. Blessing Addae, Mr. Peter Junior Dotse, among other distinguished graduates.
