Joshua Ofori-Amanfo

Dr Joshua Ofori-Amanfo joined the Department of Operations and Management Information Systems, University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) as a lecturer in 2018, having taught for a number of years at the Pentecost University. He holds PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the Leeds University Business School, UK; MSc in Procurement Management from the University of Glamorgan, UK and MSc in Supply Chain Management from the University of Central England, UK. Dr. Ofori-Amanfo also holds the Chartered Membership (MCIPS) of The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, UK.

Dr Ofori-Amanfo was the Department’s Examination Officer from 2020-2023. He has recently been appointed as the Programme Coordinator for the Department’s two new postgraduate programmes: MBA Operations and Supply Chain Management and MCs Logistics and Transportation Management. 

With his typical operations and supply chain management background, Dr. Ofori-Amanfo has been teaching courses in the discipline with a considerable number of years of teaching experience.  He is also research active with a number of good quality publications in journals of international repute to his credit.

As expert in the operations and supply chain management field, Dr. Ofori-Amanfo actively engages well with industry providing consultancy services in the area of procurement and supply chain management, operations and corporate strategy development, Quality improvement among others. He is a member of a number of high-profile national committees including the Central Tender Review Committee (CTRC, Ministry of Finance).
