Hanan Yakubu
Dr. Hanan Yakubu is a Lecturer in the Department of Operations and Management Information Systems at the University of Ghana Business School. She earned her PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Dr. Yakubu’s teaching and research focus on operations and management science, data analytics, and soft computing techniques. Her research contributes to solving complex business and industrial problems using computational intelligence methods, decision support systems, and customer-driven analytics.
She has published her work in reputable journals and presented at international conferences. She teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students in areas such as Business Mathematics, Operations Management Science, Decision and Risk Analysis, Optimization and Network Models, Simulation for Decision Making, and Programming for Analytics. She integrates practical tools such as Python, R programming, and Microsoft Power BI into her teaching. Dr. Yakubu is also passionate about mentoring students and applying analytical tools to support evidence-based decision-making in business and industry.
