There were students from Accra Technical University, the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Ghana Communication Technology University and the University of Ghana. The summit was supported by Ecobank, Malta Guinness, and Africa Skills Hub. Speakers from sponsoring organisations discussed their entrepreneurial models and their impact on Ghanaians.
Mr. Louise Nuarko, the project lead, introduced the speakers and advised students on financial management and starting small-scale businesses with minimal capital. Ms. Janet Sunkwa-Mills, CEO and Co-founder of Afribiz Group Limited, urged students to persevere with courage and consistency, trust their intuition, and adopt an attitude of ownership and gratitude. She emphasised the importance of networking, maintaining health, and building strong foundations. “Do your best and step in conviction, unlearn, learn & re-learn, be bold to colour outside the lines.” She concluded.
Representatives from the supporting brands shared marketing and entrepreneurship strategies to inspire and nurture students to become future leaders and entrepreneurs.
A representative from Guinness Ghana discussed the company’s commitment to sustainability and alcohol education.
