Prof. Justice Bawole

It gives me great pleasure but humbling honour and privilege to be the Dean of your prestigious UGBS. May I take this privilege to welcome you, our esteemed students, staff and Faculty and all our external stakeholders – to the School. UGBS has been a leader in research, teaching, and the dissemination of knowledge related to management since its inception. The school has taken an active role in providing solutions to the numerous problems that businesses in Ghana and the sub-region face. As the complexity of today's business environment and associated economic challenges rise, it is crucial to develop a new generation of leaders who can advance creative solutions to management-related issues confronting the public and private sectors in Africa and beyond.

The aftereffect of the global pandemic has been a gateway to our future since it taught us to find new and innovative ways of embarking on our mission of developing quality human resource capacity and leaders through the provision of excellent management education and research using state-of-the-art technology to meet the changing expectations of our stakeholders globally. The transition to hybrid teaching though has been challenging and has also come with a lot of learning and possibilities, this has subsequently propelled us into a future full of possibilities we otherwise might never have imagined.

We provide endless possibilities for all our students and remain open to positively affecting our society and communities in impactful ways. From our scholarship opportunities to support needy but brilliant students, to our laptop library which provides opportunities for economically disadvantaged student to still have digital access, to our innovation and incubation hub which provides access to great minds to receive business innovation incubation support to nurture their business dreams, to our impactful partnership which give our students exemptions to professional pathways, our school remains committed to our mandate.
