DEAN OF UGBS, PROF. ERNEST Y. TWENEBOAH-KODUAH COMMISSIONS NEWLY REFURBISHED SENIOR/JUNIOR COMMON ROOM
Dean of the University of Ghana Business School, Prof. Ernest Y. Tweneboah-Koduah has commissioned a newly refurbished Senior/Junior Common Room on 19th February 2026 to serve as an eatery, restroom, and enhance meaningful work engagement for both junior and senior staff. The project received significant support and commitment from alumni groups including the 1985 and 1984-year groups, and specifically the 1994 Year Group.

The refurbishment of the of Senior/Junior Common Room was a vision birthed by Prof. Ernest Yaw Tweneboah-Koduah, after he formally took office on 1st August 2025 and noticed that junior staff, including drivers, lacked a comfortable place to sit and relax, often waiting around. This observation sparked a vision to create a dedicated common room for them. The facility was previously designated for senior members’ teatime. The new leadership-initiated changes, repurposing the space.

The ceremony commenced with the welcoming of the 1994-year group at the Office of the Dean by the Prof. Tweneboah-Koduah and the School Administrator, Mr. Emmanuel Poku-Sarkodee. The event included formal speeches led by Rev. Dr. Francis Sey and Rev. Francis Asare Darko of the 1994 alumni group to solemnly set apart the refurbished room for its uses. Prof. Ernest Tweneboah-Koduah in his closing address stated that additional spaces are being created for senior members and students elsewhere. Staff representatives expressed gratitude to the dean and pledged responsibility for its maintenance, hoping it inspires further contributions.
