UGBS Shares Condolences to the Family of Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo, CEO of KAMA Group

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has shared their condolences to the family of Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo, an alumnus of UGBS at the 40th day observance of his passing. The ceremony took place on 20th January 2025 at the Forecourt of Mikaddo Plaza, Accra.

Dr. Agyekum Addo who was CEO of KAMA Group passed away on 31st October 2024 at the age of 74. He earned a Ph.D. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from UGBS in 2022. He had passion for education and showed commitment to equipping young people with entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed in business and leadership through the KAMA Education Project. He founded the KAMA Group of Companies in 1983 where he started with a small pharmacy in Kumasi and expanded into pharmaceuticals, micro-finance, real estate and conference services. 

Beyond business, Dr. Agyekum Addo also served as the Nkabomhene of New Juaben Traditional Area in Koforidua. UGBS deeply mourns the loss of Dr. Agyekum Addo. His contributions to business, education, and community development reflect the values of UGBS.
