
UGBS Alumnus Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor Appointed Acting Director-General of NITA
The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) extends congratulations to Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor, a distinguished alumnus, on his recent appointment as the Acting Director-General of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) by President John Mahama. Dr. Kevor has a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana Business School.
Dr. Kevor, who replaces Richard Okyere-Fosu, brings a wealth of experience in Information Systems, ICT policy, and digital transformation to his new role. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Presbyterian University College, Ghana. Dr. Kevor has dedicated nearly two decades to research and teaching in Knowledge Management Systems, ICT and SME studies, Telecommunications, and Information Security.
He also obtained his degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His leadership extends beyond academia, with a notable history of service on the Board of the National Communications Authority (NCA) under President Mahama’s first administration. He also represented Ghana as a government expert on International Information Security at the United Nations.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Dr. Kevor is a prominent figure in politics, serving as the Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). UGBS is proud of his continued contributions to the development of Ghana’s ICT sector and his dedication to shaping the future of digital governance in the country.
