Vera Ogeh Fiador

Vera Fiador is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School, Department of Finance. She holds a PhD in Finance from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, South Africa. She handles undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Department. Her expertise lies in the areas of corporate governance, corporate finance, gender diversity, enterprise risk management, environmental and social risk management. She has a number of peer-reviewed publications to her name and has also consulted for a number of reputable entities including the GIZ, IFC, SNV, OPM-GOGIG, KAIPTC, NBSSI and delivered a number of capacity building programmes for banks in Ghana.

Vera’s extension services encompass her roles on corporate boards, and among others, Vera is currently a director and senior consultant with Madeolo Consult (a Management Consulting and Training firm). Vera’s current consulting portfolio spans business and financial literacy, financial strategy development and interventions. Vera provides corporate training in the areas of Finance and Investment. She has also developed and mounted several training programmes targeted at small businesses. Vera is a member of the African Economic Research Consortium and was a visiting Scholar at the IMF, Washington DC.
