Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako

With a strong academic background that includes an MSc and PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham (U.K.), Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako, is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Ghana Business School. Her research interests are in financial inclusion, economic growth, and international capital flows. She is also interested in fiscal policy, monetary policy, and the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME).

She formerly worked as the Country Program Manager of the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa, Financial Journalism Training Program, and as a Teaching Fellow at Durham Business School (UK). Her expertise in MSME development involves capacity-building for MSME leaders, facilitating partnerships between financial institutions and MSMEs, and conducting nationwide data collection on MSMEs.

Throughout her career, she has taught graduate-level courses in macroeconomics and monetary economics and has contributed to numerous projects funded by organisations like the IFC, Mastercard Foundation, and International Labour Organisation.

She is a recipient of the DFID scholarship and is affiliated with the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP) and the Chinese Economic Association (CEA). She is also an ad hoc reviewer for several journals. She has published in reputable journals such as the Journal of Institutional Economics, Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Journal of Managerial Finance, African Finance Journal, Journal of African Business, Journal of Emerging Markets, and many others.
