Matilda Adams
Dr. Matilda Adams is a Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School. She holds both a PhD and an MPhil in Marketing from the University of Ghana. Before joining the University of Ghana Business School, Dr. Adams was a faculty member at Methodist University Ghana. She also has extensive experience in the private sector, having held senior management and marketing positions. Her research focuses on behavioural change, social media marketing, sustainability, and consumer behaviour.
Dr. Adams has published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the International Marketing Review, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Social Marketing, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Social Marketing Quarterly, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Journal of African Business, and Journal of Marketing for Higher Education, among others. She also serves as a reviewer for several journals. Her paper received the Second Place Best Paper Award from the Journal of African Business in 2020. Additionally, a paper she co-authored won the Best Conference Paper Award at the Academy of African Business and Development (AABD) conference held in Durban, South Africa, in 2018. She currently serves as a member of the Nominating and Elections Committee (NEC) for the 2024–2025 AABD elections.
