His passion for selflessly serving others serves as a powerful motivator in both his academic and personal pursuits. Aiming high, Afriyie's top goal for the accounting department is clear to make it great again through a blend of experience, sacrifice, and inclusion.
A key tenet in Afriyie's journey is time management. "I take everything one at a time. I set priorities and execute one at a time, day by day," he emphasized, highlighting the importance of a systematic approach to navigating the complexities of academic and leadership responsibilities.
Acknowledging the challenges, he has faced, Afriyie credits his team, comprising executives and committee members, for their support in problem solving, a testament to his belief in collaborative leadership.
Beyond the academic realm, Afriyie finds solace and joy in the world of pencil artistry. "Pencils have been my source of happiness. Drawing helps calm me down when I face challenges. It has taught me to be patient and pay attention to details," he explained. Through his pencil portrait artworks, Afriyie aims to be the medium through which people put smiles on the faces of their loved ones.
The rewarding moments come to life when he sees the reactions from clients, reinforcing his commitment to expand and train kids and individuals with a passion for art.
Running his own art business, Afriyie stresses the importance of seriousness and discipline. "Having your own business is great, but you must be serious and disciplined," he advised, drawing from his entrepreneurial experiences.
For Afriyie, the journey doesn't end with art; it continues alongside his pursuit of accounting. "Continuing to do what I love as a pencil artist while I pursue accounting," he affirmed, exemplifying the delicate balance between passion and profession.
