Faculty Profile

Kwesi Amponsah-Tawiah is an Associate Professor and head of the Department of Organization and Human Resource Management (OHRM), University of Ghana Business School. He is an Applied Psychologist and an Occupational Health and Safety specialist, with considerable research and consultancy experience in Organisational Development and Change Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management, Organisational Behaviour Management and Psycho-social issues at the workplace. He has consulted for a number of local and international organizations including the ILO and the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare. Kwesi is currently a Fellow of the COIL Institute for Global Networked Learning, Member of the British Psychological Society, the Ghana Psychological Association, the International Commission on Occupational Health and the Ghana Society of Occupational and Environmental Health. As a young academic and a researcher, Kwesi has published extensively in some International Journals in the area of Occupational Health and Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Capital Management. He currently co-ordinates Internship and Placement at the University of Ghana Business School. Kwesi Ampnsah Tawiah holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from the Institute of Work Health & Organisations (I-WHO), University of Nottingham, a BA (Hons) and an Mphil degree in Psychology and Industrial & Organisational Psychology respectively from the University of Ghana.
