Biography: 

James Baba Abugre is a Human Resource Management and Communication Researcher. He focuses on the interaction of actors in resolving effective human resource development and management in institutions. Dr Abugre is an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana Business School. He holds a PhD in International Human Resource Management from Swansea University in the United Kingdom. His teaching and research areas are in Human Resource Management in Multinational Companies (MNCs) and local organisations. Specifically, he researches in HRM practices and communication and engagement of employees in organisations.

Dr Abugre has a passion for field research spanning from his years of research activities with the Navrongo Health Research Centre and the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development. However, his academic research areas are in mainstream HRM and Cross-cultural and Business communication.

Teaching

Teaching: 

Dr. Abugre has a veritable passion for teaching. He is interested in inculcating new methods of ideas in his students. As a product of IESE Business School, the use of case studies and anecdotes in classroom condition are essential in situating the contexts and directions of his teaching and learning. Hence the application of cases and anecdotes and full participation of his students constitute part and package of Dr. Abugre’s teaching edicts.
