The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) is committed to educating business leaders who are able to evolve innovative solutions to challenges confronting both the public and private sectors in Africa and beyond, promoting theory and practice and also making a positive impact on the business community and society. The Corporate Executives in Residence Programme (CERP) fosters these goals by inviting seasoned executives to share their rich experience and insights with our students, faculty and school management. The CERP is in line with UGBS’ strategy of bringing research and practice together. Particular attention is paid to the design of the CERP to ensure academic excellence by making it possible for UGBS’ students, staff, faculty and management to meet and interact with experienced and accomplished professionals from various sectors of the business community.
The corporate executives in residence serve for at least a semester, and during this time, visit campus two or three times to interact with students, deliver guest lectures and seminars, and provide career guidance. The CERP provides the platform through which the School can engage with the business community. This engagement is not only necessary but also beneficial, given the positive impact the CERP is likely to have on students, staff, faculty and management of UGBS. The activities of the corporate executives in residence will include:
