    UGBS Alumnus Lands Top Job

    A University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) alumnus, Ms. Carol Annang, has been appointed as the Managing Director of New Times Corporation, owners of the Ghanaian Times, a daily newspaper in circulation since 1958.
    As Managing Director, Ms. Annang will be responsible for providing leadership on the management of New Times Corporation’s vast media assets in newspaper publishing, printing and film-making amongst other media-based business activities.

    UGBS Alumnus Is President of AAG

    Distinguished University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) alumnus, Mr. Joel Edmund Nettey, has been elected President of the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG). Mr. Nettey holds a Master in Business Administration (Marketing) degree.
    At his election as the AAG’s youngest president ever, Mr. Nettey, a Trustee of the Unilever Ghana Foundation and Board Chair of the Road Safety Management Services Ltd, in his acceptance speech, pledged his unflinching commitment to the AAG’s cause and resolved to ensure the effectiveness of the Association.

    UGBS Alumnus Notches Top Appointment

    University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) alumnus, Ms. Angela Forson, has notched a prestigious appointment as the Director of Public Sector & Institutional Banking of Fidelity Bank, a tier one indigenous bank.
    This makes her the Bank’s first female director in charge of business.
    As Director of Public Sector & Institutional Banking, Ms. Forson is responsible for the institutional Banking team.

    UGBS Trains Faculty and Staff on Customer Service

    The University of Ghana Business School on January 30, 2015 organized a training session for its faculty and non – Academic staff on ‘Shooting for Greater Customer Services'.

    The training, held in two different sessions, were both facilitated by Professor Robert Hinson, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Enterprise Development (CSED) and immediate past Head of the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship.  

    Dr. Kobby Mensah Nominated to Palgrave-Macmillan Academic Board

    Dr. Kobby Mensah, a Lecturer with the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship, UGBS and the Coordinator of the Marketing and Communications Unit, has been nominated to serve on the academic advisory board of Palgrave-Macmillan’s Political Marketing and Management book series.
    As an academic advisory board member, Dr. Mensah will be reviewing proposals and manuscripts for, as well as contributing to discussions about the direction of, the book series.
