UGBS Holds a Staff Durbar

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) organised a staff durbar on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the R. S Amegashie Auditorium. The durbar which was moderated by Mr. Yaw Tsen Yeboah, Assistant Registrar in charge of Human Resources was to engage staff on activities within the School and also get first-hand information on their challenges. 

Welcoming the staff, Professor Justice N. Bawole, the Dean of the UGBS indicated his gratitude for their support and hard work. Emphasising on the need for staff to align with the strategic plan for 2021-2024, the Dean highlighted that it is vital for all staff to understand the important roles they have to play to achieve the objectives of the school’s strategic plan. Professor Bawole also gave an overview of the various projects and activities within the Business School. 

Taking his turn, Mr. Alex Nii Than Crabbe, the UGBS Accountant, briefed the staff on processes and procedures with regard to budgetary and financial issues. 

Giving details about the procurement process, Mrs. Lydia Monney, the school procurement officer highlighted the steps that need to be followed before acquiring items for the School. She also pleaded with staff to put in their request on time.

The event ended with a question-and-answer session and further clarifications from the Dean.
