On Wednesday, 7th December 2022, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Innovation and incubation Hub paid host to guests from Reach for Change, a Non-Governmental Organisation.
The guests were welcomed by Professor Justice N. Bawole, Dean of the Business School together with Dr. George Acheampong and Mr. Oliver Kwabena Aggrey, Innovation and Incubation Hub Coordinator and Administrator respectively.
Briefing the visitors, Dr. George Acheampong indicated that the Hub exists to nurture and support young entrepreneurs. He also made mention of the useful spaces available at the Hub which includes the Cafeteria and the Executive Square.
In his brief remarks, the Country Representative of Reach for Change, Mr. Solomon Twum revealed his team's interest in learning how some educational institutions run student entrepreneurial programmes and incubation centers. He noted that they are currently working on a project funded by the IKEA foundation to develop an entrepreneurial mindset among students on green business. Mr. Twum further added that the team implements projects to support students and build their capacity.
Reach for Change is an international NGO founded in Sweden and operating across eighteen (18) countries. Reach for Change is focused on finding local social entrepreneurs and empowering them to develop as well as scale innovative solutions to help children better their lives.
