The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) is a purveyor of “world-class management education and relevant cutting-edge research” aimed at addressing the needs of our nation and the world at large. The School’s faculty is noted for producing some of the best scholarly works in their respective fields across the continent. One of such renowned faculty is the Head of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Professor Robert Ebo Hinson.

In light of the #FixGhana campaign, Professor Hinson suggests that any government can only deliver on its promises to the citizens of a nation by implementing policies and undertaking projects through its various public sectors agencies such as ministries, departments, and agencies. He further postulates that public sector agencies are a government's vehicle for delivering socio-economic progress and added that these government outlets must be run using business-like management approaches, especially in the African setting, to generate the desired results.

In this forthcoming book, Prof. Hinson together with other co-editors of this book, tackle issues concerning leadership, market orientation, public-private partnerships, among others, in a bid to offer solutions to the challenges facing Africa’s public sector.
