The Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship organised a PhD viva for its final year PhD candidate, Mr. Francis Fonyee Nutsugah on the 12th December 2019, under the auspices of the School of Graduate Studies.

Mr. Francis Fonyee Nutsugah presented on the topic “Environmental Performance and Firm Performance: The Mediating Roles of Market-Based Assets and Integrated Marketing Communication”. His study sought to, among other things, encourage firms to invest in environmental protection. He further elaborated on how firms can have different perspectives on environmental protection and why they should view it as a resource which they can invest in. He stated that environmental protection has now become an investment opportunity for many firms, thus attracting stakeholders and customers, particularly since it is geared toward part of the sustainable development goals.

The candidate was scored by a panel of examiners based on his knowledge in the field of study, the study’s contribution to literature and demonstrated ownership of his work. Mr. Francis Fonyee Nutsugah passed successfully and expressed thanks to his supervisors, examiners and colleagues present.
