UGBS @ 60 - THE FUTURE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION IN GHANA: REFLECTING ON THE 60-YEAR EXPERIENCE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GHANA BUSINESS SCHOOL

Mr. Nana Osae Addo-Dankwa is an astute business executive, entrepreneur and an assertive result-oriented team player with over twenty (20) years of experience in the financial sector. His experience spans strategic planning, client relationship management, treasury sales, credit appraisal, and investments. With proven leadership skills, he continues to manage, develop, and motivate teams to achieve objectives. He provides good and exemplary leadership wherever he finds himself and imbibes the basics of financial literacy to the less knowledgeable. In Nana’s world, “attitude is everything and everything is possible if you set your mind to it”.

Mr. Addo-Dankwa is currently the Chief Executive Officer of InvestEye Capital Partner Limited. He is responsible for the overall management and spearheading of the strategic and policy implementation direction. He served briefly as the Managing Director of Express Savings and Loans Limited in 2013, where he foresaw the overall management of the company. Between 2008 and 2012, he set up and headed the treasury department of Bond Financial Services Limited, where he managed their assets and liability position, coordinated their treasury business to maximise profitability, and improved their image as a proficient operator in the industry, among others. Nana also served as the Deputy Treasurer at Bank of Africa, Ghana Limited and was mainly responsible for Identifying possible market risks and developing strategic solutions to reduce and mitigate their effect, managing the Asset and Liability position of the bank, etc. He has also worked as a money market dealer at Fidelity Bank, a research analyst at Intersperience Consulting, Lancaster U.K, and an Associate Consultant with SEM International Associates Limited, Accra.

Mr. Addo-Dankwa graduated from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) with a B.Sc. Administration (Banking and Finance Option). He also holds a Master of Arts in Ministry (MAM) with an emphasis in Counselling and Pastoral Care from Trinity Theological Seminary in Legon, Ghana, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Consulting and Strategic Management from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Directors (IOD), a Licensed Paraprofessional Counsellor, and a Licensed Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana (SEC).  Nana is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, an avid squash player and a Council Member of the Tesano Sports Club.
