UGBS Alumnus Of The Month – September 2021

Mr. Kofi Oduro-Boateng is an alumnus of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) where he studied for BSc (Admin) Accounting option and MPhil Accounting degrees. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Mr. Oduro-Boateng also has a certificate in Contemporary Leadership from the Graduate School of Governance and Leadership (Accra Business School).

Mr. Oduro-Boateng has more than ten years of experience within the Consulting and Audit Services Industry. He served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Accounting at the University of Ghana Business School. In 2018, he worked as a Risk Consulting Associate of KPMG Ghana and after three years was promoted to the ranks as a Senior Risk Consulting Associate for the company. Mr. Oduro-Boateng is also credited with providing mentorship, guidance and counselling to students in Accounting and related fields. The alumnus also served as a Graduate Assistant at the Business School where he tutored students in Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance Qualitative Research.

Mr. Kofi Oduro-Boateng's great leadership skills came to prominence when he was made the Head of the Audit Committee for the Graduate Student’s Association of Ghana, Legon during when he led the performance of the annual audit of the Association’s Financial Statements. He has also been the In-Charge, Operational Review Engagement Team in the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance (KPMG) in leading his team to execute assignments. He is currently the president of the March 2020 Members’ Network of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) responsible for the administration of the network and welfare of members.
