Biography:

Aaron Makafui Ametorwo is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Organisation and Human Resource Management (OHRM), University of Ghana Business School. He developed interest in academia in 2009 during his national service at the OHRM Department of the Business School. He applied for the MPhil programme and was successful in the selection processes, thereby starting the MPhil in the 2010/2011 academic year. After his first year of the two-year MPhil programme, he applied and was taken as Graduate Assistant for the 2011/2012 academic year. Upon completion, he again applied and was considered as Teaching Assistant in the same department.

His desire to be an academic motivated him to apply as Assistant Lecturer, and after going through all the procedures, he was employed on a three-year contract with the University, beginning from February 2014.

Aaron has been involved in the coordination of workshops and training programmes for individuals and organisations in CSR awareness and best practices. He was given the opportunity to be part of a consulting team whose mandate is to develop a comprehensive CSR policy for Ghana.

His experience during data collection for his MPhil led to the publication of a paper: Here Comes Another Questionnaire! Questionnaire Allergy Among Business Executives in Ghana. Currently, Aaron supervises undergraduate and graduate (specifically, MBA) students in their long essays, and coordinates research seminars. He also teaches Introduction to Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, and Human Behaviour in Organisations.

He has been actively involved in the planning of the annual Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Lectures, and is also a member of the UGBS Seminar Series Committee.
