University of Sussex Librarian pays a visit to University of Ghana Business School Library

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) on the 30th of July 2018 hosted Ms. Suzanne Tatham, an Academic Services Manager at the University of Sussex Library. She was received by Ms. Sitsofe Afua Dzansi, the UGBS’s Librarian, who took her on a tour of the K.E.Adjei Library on the main campus and the UGBS Tullow Library at the UGBS Graduate Building. Ms. Tatham was accompanied on the visit by Mr. Newton Akrong, the co-ordinator for the visit.

Prior to her visit to the Business School, Suzanne Tatham had interactions with the University of Ghana Library System Librarians at the Balme Library, where she made seminar presentations on her experience from working at the University of Sussex’s library system. Besides the Balme Library, she has visited other libraries within the University including the School of Law Library, African Studies Library and School of Public Health Library to familiarise herself with the libraries’ activities.

Ms. Suzanne Tatham is a Chartered Librarian who holds an MA in Information Science. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a PG Certificate in Higher Education. She leads a team dedicated to providing research support, teaching support and collection management, across all subject areas. Suzanne has a strong interest in user experience and has presented at conferences on the three-year collaboration with SAGE publishers to explore the student journey.

Ms. Tatham expressed her satisfaction about the quality of infrastructure and the organisation of the University of Ghana Library System and looks forward to her next visit.
