The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) will, this semester, host Mr. Felix Addo, Country Senior Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Ghana, and Mr. Lucas Yikimpa Chigabatia, Chief Information Technology Officer, University of Ghana, for its Corporate Executives in Residence Programme (CERP).
Mr. Addo is being hosted by UGBS’s Accounting Department while its Department of Operations Management Information Systems hosts Mr. Lucas Yikimpa Chigabatia.
MR. FELIX ADDO
Mr. Addo is a member of the PwC Africa Governance Board and a Deals Partner with particular interest in Capital Projects & Infrastructure (CP&I), Sustainability and Climate Change. He has over 27 years of experience in corporate Ghana, which includes consulting experiences in corporate finance and recovery, financial and forensic auditing, organizational restructuring and performance improvement in developed and developing economies. Mr. Addo holds a degree in Administration from the University of Ghana and an advanced degree in Professional Accounting from Loyola College in the USA. He is also a professional member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and Sierra Leone and the Institute of Certified Accountants, USA. Read more..
MR. LUCAS YIKIMPA CHIGABATIA
As the Chief Information Technology Officer of the University of Ghana, Mr. Chigabatia is responsible for providing leadership in the development of ICT to enhance several activities, such as teaching and research. This requires his Office to harmonize all the University’s previously separate computing services units into a central computing system.
His 20-year experience in the field of Information Technology (IT) facilitates the completion of this Herculean task. Mr. Chigabatia has worked in corporate Ghana as the IT Manager of Unilever Ghana and as the Manager of Knowledge & Information Solutions at AngloGold Ashanti Ltd, amongst other notable appointments.
He holds advance degrees in Computer Science (Kharkov Institute of Engineering & Economics, Ukraine) and Finance (University of Ghana) as well as a certificate in Management Practice from the University of Cape Town. Read more..
CERP, one of UGBS’s flagship programmes, seeks to promote theory and practice as well as positively impact the business community and society as a whole.
The executives will deliver lectures, provide mentoring and career advice as well as network opportunities to students, advice student organizations in their areas of expertise and advice students, faculty, and Management on emerging trends in management practice.
