UGBS Orients New Batch of Sandwich Students

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), held an orientation for its newly admitted batch of sandwich students at the Graduate Building on the 5th June, 2017.

Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor, Dean of UGBS in his welcome address said that the sandwich programme is an intensive full time Masters Programme, hence should be taken seriously. He urged students to question theories and expect the use of case studies during teaching and learning.

The Dean congratulated the students for choosing and gaining admission to UGBS and urged them to utilise all facilities at their disposal.

Mrs. Stella Dovlo, the School Administrator, welcomed the students on behalf of Management and congratulated them for gaining admission into the premiere business school. She took them through academic activities and advised them to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the school.  Mrs. Dovlo also encouraged the students to make use of the libraries and other facilities to help improve their academic work.

Dr. Mahama Braimah, Coordinator, MA Marketing Strategy and Dr. Ibrahim Bedi, Coordinator, MSc Accounting and Finance took the students through the registration procedures and examination, and long essay regulations.  They also encouraged them to be serious with their studies. The students were advised to start their long essays early so they do not find themselves in a bind by the end of their course.

The orientation served as an opportunity for the new students to interact with various faculty members and to be officially welcomed into the University of Ghana Business School.
