UGBS Organises Its Maiden Study Programme to China

University of Ghana Business School organised its maiden Study Programme to The Fudan University, Shanghai, China from 29th June to 10th July, 2018. The group, consisting of students and a lecturer, visited three companies: The Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Ltd, Lenovo PC International and Yeepay Co. Ltd.

The team attended seminars on Chinese Economy, Opportunities and Challenges, New Normal of Chinese Economy; Transition of China's Development, The Chinese Financial System and other seminar presentations at the School of Management, Fudan University. The group also visited Chinatown in Shanghai, toured the Yu Gardens and Shanghai Tower- the second tallest building in the world.

According to some of the touring students, the exposure and experience gained from the programme is priceless, the contents of the lectures were good and the whole programme was well organised. The visits to the global companies: Baosteel, Lenovo and Innovative firms were very impactful. The students noted that the study tour has given them more insight into global business especially in the Chinese context. They therefore expect to see more businessmen and women emerging in this study programme.
