The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) held an orientation for undergraduate students for the 2017/2018 academic year at the R.S. Amegashie Auditorium on 8th September, 2017. Prof. Justice Bawole, head of Department of Public Administration and Health Services Management (PAHSM) spoke in the stead of the Dean of UGBS Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor. In his welcome address, he stated that the business school is undoubtedly a premier institution in the sub region, hence, students must thrive to meet the set standard.
He congratulated the students for choosing and gaining admission to UGBS and said, “You are in a place where many people want to be, make use of such an opportunity and strive to be the best.”
Mrs. Stella Dovlo, the School Administrator, welcomed the students on behalf of Management and congratulated them for gaining admission into the premiere business school. She addressed academic issues, admonished students to take advantage of the library space and advised them to adhere to rules and regulations in the student’s handbook.
The orientation served as an opportunity for the new students to interact with various faculty members and to be officially welcomed into the school.
Ms. Sitsofe Dzansi, the school librarian and Dr. Mrs. Vera Fiador, the chair of mentoring and Student Services, also welcomed and congratulated the students. Present at the orientation were various Heads of Departments who took turns in welcoming the students.
