UGBS Holds Cocktail in Honour of Promoted Faculty and Staff

The University of Ghana Business School on 26th July, 2017, held a cocktail party at its Graduate Building to honour promoted Faculty and Administrative Staff of the school for the 2016/2017 academic year. Present at the ceremony were the Dean of UGBS, the School Administrator, Heads of Department, Faculty and Staff.

In an introductory remark, the Dean, Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor, commended the achievement of the honourees, adding that “one of the ways of encouraging and promoting world class human resource competency is to urge and encourage staff to move up and aim higher”.  He also encouraged other Faculty and Administrative Staff to emulate the hard work of their colleagues whose efforts had been recognised.

Mrs. Stella Dovlo, the School Administrator, in a comment emphasised that the promotion is the beginning of greater accomplishments to come and called on all to give their best to the realisation of UGBS becoming a World Class Business School. She also noted that promotion comes with responsibilities, therefore the honourees must remain dedicated and continue to strive for excellence. 

A total of fifteen (15) Faculty and Administrative Staff were promoted. Eleven (11) were promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer, two (2) to the position of Senior Staff and another two (2) as Junior Staff. UGBS congratulates the honourees on their promotion as they continue to step into excellence.
